What fees does the Library charge?

As of July 1, 2021 our library is fine free. This means that we do not charge overdue fines for library items. There are other fees associated with library services/replacement.

Cost recovery fees are based on any or all of the following: average staff time associated with the service, cost of the materials consumed, and overhead costs. The following services are charged the stated fee:

  • Lost or damaged library item     Replacement cost of item
  • Laminating        $0.75 per foot (minimum of $1.50)
  • Replacement barcode        $1.00
  • Replacement RFID tag        $1.00
  • Replacement DVD case        $1.00
  • Replacement borrower’s card    $2.00
  • Additional borrower card (beyond 1st free card)    $2.00
  • Replacement CD case                    $1.00
  • Copies-black & white-per page       $0.10
  • Copies-color-per page                    $0.25
  •  Internet session for non-American Fork Library card holders  $1.00

Non-Resident Library card fees:

  • Quarterly    $25.00
  • Semi-Annual    $45.00
  • Annual    $80.00
