Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteering is a wonderful opportunity that is open to all of us. There are a variety of opportunities throughout American Fork City, from serving on a Board or Commission to participating as a volunteer in the community.

General Service

Annual Community Green Waste Cleanup April 22-29, 2023.The annual American Fork Community Green Waste Clean Up is happening April 22-29th! We invite all residents and organized groups to participate. The focus is clearing debris, weeds, and over-growth from sidewalks and walking paths in neighborhood areas around the city. We encourage you to work as groups in the community to beautify our city! American Fork will provide a limited number of free Green Waste Coupons, good for use April 22-29 at North Pointe Solid Waste, located at 2000 W 200 S, Lindon. A coupon can be obtained at the City Admin Building starting on April 10th at 51 E Main St from M-Th, 7am-6pm, Friday 8am-4pm. Coupons are first come, first served, with a limit of one per household. The coupon can be used for green waste only, for up to 1 ton per coupon. This is in addition to the free dump pass that residents receive as part of their utility service. If waste includes items other than green waste, you will be charged a general tipping fee to dump the items. Green waste is defined as grass, leaves, shrubs, and limbs. The limbs can be no longer than 4 ft and no bigger than 30" in diameter. NO dirt, rocks or root balls should be combined with the green waste.
